HPI Baja Fuelie/CY clutch shoe set

The first new item is a complete clutch assembly that has gained two new holes in each shoe to save some weight over the original standard item and has a much thicker looking red spring fitted.

We have seen red springs fitted before, but these are thicker looking than those seen previously, and when combined with the drilled clutch shoes they should engage at a higher rpm to suit the demands of a large scale model car racing engine better than the "bog standard" agricultural types fitted as standard to most engines from new.

Zenoah users who want to fit these parts will also need to buy the CY clutch shoe pivot bolts as the holes in these new shoes are 9mm. The standard Zenoah clutch shoes only have an 8mm pivot hole in them and the matching 8mm pivot bolts would be too loose a fit if not changed.

Owners of Fueli and CY engines can re-use the standard pivot bolts as they are already the correct CY size and fit.
